Garden Of Eatin’: Playing With Your Food
These are some cute ideas for ways to jazz up your kids snacks!
When my kids were smaller I used to do these fun kinds of displays with their food to make eating healthy more fun! These are really easy to do and only take a few minutes. Give them a shot or share with your friends with little ones!Carrot Tic-Tac-Toe
This is really easy to create. Take a carrot and cut v-shaped slits out of the length of the carrot (use a sharp knife and be careful!) You don’t need to go too deep, 4 slits will give you a cross, 5 or more will give you a flower effect. Then slice into thin pieces.
That is it! For the “O’s” just slice the carrot into coins. Make a tic-tac-toe platform with ranch dip (My Goddess-Ranch dip would be perfect here) and put out the x’s and o’s for the kids to play and munch!
Garden of eatin’ creations
Set out carrot flowers, celery sticks, maybe some cherry tomatoes, use your imagination! Allow your little artists to create their own edible masterpieces!
Have fun playing with your food!
