This easy recipe is healthy fall comfort food perfection for anyone that loves lamb and a great stew. Our North African cooking sauce makes the prep work a breeze, and results in a global gourmet meal you’ll be proud to serve at your table!


This recipe is Whole30 and Paleo-friendly and naturally gluten-free. If you’d like to make a vegetarian version simply swap the meat out for about 4 cups of chickpeas.

Slow Cooker North African Fall Vegetable and Lamb Stew
Equipment
- Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 1 jar Mesa de Vida North African cooking & seasoning sauce
- 1-2 lb boneless leg of lamb, or lamb shoulder roast cut into cubes *substitute any meat you like, or keep it vegetarian and use chickpeas instead
- 1 delicata squash seeded and cubed *substitute any fall squash you like such as acorn, or butternut squash
- 2-3 carrots cubed
- 2 cups potatoes cubed
- 1/2-1 cup water *use 1 cup if you prefer your stew on the soupier side. *pour into the empty jar of North African sauce and shake to make sure you get all of the rich flavor out!
- salt and harissa to taste optional
- minced fresh mint, parsley and lemon zest optional, for serving
Instructions
- *Optional: sear lamb to brown on all sides.
- Add everything to your slow cooker, toss to combine.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Stir, and enjoy!
